Keith, from County Monaghan is a remarkable young man who is wheelchair bound from an extremely aggressive form of ‘Still’s Disease’, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. His care is 24 hours a day and there is a lot of expensive medical equipment, which restricts him to either hospital or home. He has been give a very short period to live.
We arranged for a helicopter to collect Keith from Cavan General Hospital and fly him and his medical team to Dublin Airport, where he boarded a private plane bound for Manchester. On arrival he was whisked by limousine and a police escort to a Private Box in Old Trafford, where he watched his favourite football team, Manchester United play Liverpool, they won.
After the match, the Manchester United and Ireland Captain, Roy Keane, introduced this extraordinary young man to the entire Manchester United Team and their Partners, (when he emerged, the informed his Doctor that Posh Spice must be pregnant as her bottom was quite large!!). After a meal he was returned home safely to Cavan General Hospital.
